About This Product
Episcopic light from above reflects off opaque specimens, while diascopic light from below passes through translucent and transparent objects, so one instrument covers both. Each halogen source has its own rheostat, and the upper system adds an iris diaphragm with separate aperture and alignment controls. The vernier stage lets students record coordinates and return to a specific location on the slide, and focus tension control stops the stage drifting out of focus.
